THE STORY
Industrial Rustic meets Transitional Luxe
PHOTOGRAPHER: MANDY MCGREGOR PHOTOGRAPHY

The client desired a complete transformation of their main level that offered more functionality and brightened the home. While the home had great bones, we were tasked with creating an aesthetic that fit their personal style and was different enough from their previous home that they loved in another state. They did not want to continuously compare the home they loved with where they are now.
Our goal for this home remodel was to create a soft and serene atmosphere with spaces that evoked conversation in each detail that was put into the space. We wanted to give this home a bright and neutral feel that would provide comfort. The client also desired a lot of seating to host family and friends and improved functionality in the pantry and mudroom.
CHALLENGES + SOLUTIONS:
We faced a few unique challenges during this project. We wanted to better utilize the space behind the fireplace while also maintaining the location of the fireplace to minimize costs. The hallway and large centered fireplace structure took up a lot of space that was unusable. We closed off the hallway and created an entry bench with storage, a focal fireplace, and a storage closet; providing functionality, storage, and an updated style.
We also had to get creative in the floor-plan arrangement as the client desired a larger butlers pantry which required us to reconfigure the layout of a powder bath, mudroom, pantry, and the old butlers pantry.
