The Waterford Remodel was all about transforming a well-loved family home into a space that feels fresh, timeless, and perfectly suited for entertaining. The clients, who love hosting gatherings and spending time in the kitchen, wanted an environment that felt open, bright, and welcoming, while still being highly functional for everyday living. Together, we reimagined the kitchen, dining, laundry, and living spaces with a transitional design approach that balanced classic touches with modern details. The result is a home that feels sophisticated yet inviting — ready for both daily routines and weekend get-togethers.
The kitchen was opened visually to the living and dining spaces, allowing guests to move naturally from the kitchen to the dining area and out onto the deck. This maximized the home’s flow and supported the client’s love of hosting gatherings.
A fresh, transitional palette brightened the home while still nodding to warmth and tradition. We selected a neutral base (white cabinetry, quartz counters, deep wood floors) and layering it with transitional blue tones, mixed metals, and timeless lighting choices, the design achieved a sophisticated yet approachable balance.
Thoughtful details like a hidden trash pull-out, spice storage, and built-in pet feeding station created convenience and order. Pantry cabinetry and appliance garages minimized clutter while giving the family highly functional, everyday storage.
The family wanted functional solutions for pets without sacrificing style. A custom-built pet feeding station was incorporated into the island, and a concealed litter box was seamlessly built into the laundry cabinetry. We also integrated durable fabrics and materials throughout the space.
The family stored glassware, linens, and appliances in multiple rooms. The laundry room also had underutilized space. Floor-to-ceiling cabinets and custom organizational details were added in both the kitchen and laundry room, consolidating storage while keeping everything easily accessible.
Each room previously felt disjointed. To remedy that problem, we repeated finishes (white cabinetry, quartz, brass, and blue accents) to create a cohesive, whole-home design story. throughout all four spaces.
