Dear Client,
We've been through so much together when you stop to really think about it, haven't we? I don't know the exact reasoning behind your decision to hire me as your designer to design a beautiful space for you, but I do know that I am so honored you chose me and have allowed me to impact your life one way or another through design.
We really have been through a lot together. I've been honored to help you 'start over' in a new home as you pull the pieces of your life back together after a divorce. I've been so so excited for you as we built your dream home and you found out you were pregnant along the way. I've been sad and worried for you as you've battled a nasty disease, and I've jumped with joy when you found out the news that you finally beat that disease. I've been your cheerleader as you put in the long days of entrepreneurship in your own self started business, and was honored to design a space of rejuvenation for you to come home to at the end of a long hard day. I've been excited for you as I watched you take off with that business as we designed your office space. I've been with you as you've moved from one house to another, leaving sweet memories behind in one home, only to start new memories in the new home. I've watched you put in the long hours at your job at the hospital, helping patients navigate illness, only to come home and crash at the end of a long day. I've been with you through a world pandemic and seen the uncertainty in your eyes and have seen the disappointment on your face when we realized that the projects we've been working so hard on to get the house ready for your child's graduation for a party that will now never happen.
Some of you, I was unsure of the reason you decided to hire me, perhaps you've struggled and have been through a tough time and have finally decided to do something 'for you,' and build a space that will make you happy. Some of you have been very private in our interactions and that's okay. Some of you, perhaps you just didn't have the time to do this on your own and wanted someone to help you finally finish a space.
Whatever the reason, whatever the season of life I have been honored to be a part of it and honored that you have let me into your life. I do know this: each time I bring a space together, I get an overwhelming sense of happiness that resounds strongly through the space; a sense of happiness within that I have somehow positively impacted your life, whatever the reason may be. And as I walk away from each finished project, my biggest hope is that your new space somehow blesses you and brings you peace and happiness. Because at the end of the day, I strongly believe that a well designed space impacts lives. At the end of the day I am thankful for you for allowing me to take part in your life both in these monumental moments in life and also the small moments of life. At the end of the day, I hope the home we've designed together offers you a place of happiness and joy in the good times, peace in the busy seasons of life and refuge in the uncertain seasons of life.
