MONOCHROMATIC KITCHEN RENO

All the Shades of Grey

THE STORY

All the Shades of Grey

Our client was ready for a drastic change. They were sick and tired of the boring brown 'basic builder' aesthetic that their house had prior to our transformation.

We worked with a contractor and local cabinet company to help bring their new aesthetic to life! Luckily we didn't have to remove much of the existing cabinetry, which really helped save on cost! Instead we re-engineered the island and an old enclosed pantry. We opened the old pantry up into a built in wet bar nook.

We replaced the floors, countertops, painted the cabinets a new color, installed a new backsplash, and even extended out into the living room. The living room was in need of a new furniture layout that took up less space.

We recommended that the client implement pops of greens for a fun color and blues to tie into the monochromatic feel of the kitchen.

Although the walls of the existing space did not move much, simply by a little re-engineering of the kitchen and resurfacing the finishes, this space took on a completely different feel.
